Free-agent cornerback Leon Hall reportedly won't be landing with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons were one of several teams in contention for the veteran's signature, but they've decided not to sign him at this time, a league source told Vaughn McClure of ESPN.

On Monday, head coach Dan Quinn said he'd meet with general manager Thomas Dimitroff and team doctors soon to decide whether the Falcons will sign Hall.

While it's unclear why exactly the Falcons opted to pass, it's possible Hall's injury history posed too great of a risk.

The 31-year-old has previously torn both of his Achilles, once in 2011 and again in 2013. He also reportedly underwent back surgery at the end of last season.

Despite this, Hall has shown little signs of slowing down on the field and remains one of the league's better slot cornerbacks.

The Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants are the other teams believed to be courting Hall.
