Fisher wants 'Hard Knocks' featuring Rams to be the best episode to date

HBO's "Hard Knocks" series has often received criticism for being a fairly repetitive process.

Early morning shots of players and coaches arriving, lifting weights, sprinklers on the field, undrafted free agents to root for, a rookie quarterback, the dreaded "you've been released" conversation. The list goes on.

Despite this, Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is excited to help bring some added entertainment to the show that will feature his team's training camp this summer.

"We want this to be the best show to date," Fisher told Sam Farmer of the LA Times. "We want to pave the way for the member clubs to line up for the opportunity to do this … The players are familiar, they understand what's ahead, we've talked to the coaches and they're excited."

Fisher has contacted several others in the league who have gone through the process before and remains positive that filming won't put his team at a competitive disadvantage.

The coach said he still hopes his guys perform as "football players, not actors," although defensive tackle Aaron Donald doesn't see a huge difference.

"It's just a camera in your face," said Donald. "The game we play, there's always a camera in your face."

Some filming has already begun for the show with the 2016 season set to debut August 9th.
