The Los Angeles Rams came to the rescue after a local high school football team had their fundraising money stolen.

Vandals broke into the office of Cleveland High School's football coach, Matt Gentle, a few weeks ago and stole nearly $8,000 that was raised to buy equipment needed for spring training. Samantha Koerner, the mother of one of the players, reached out to the Rams for help, not expecting a response.

"Somebody suggested I send an email to the (Rams) C.O.O. I thought he wouldn't read it. He certainly wasn't going to respond," Koerner told Denise Quan of the Orange County Register. "Within five minutes, he emailed me back and said, 'The Rams are on it. We're going to do what we can to help.'"

On Tuesday, Rams defensive end Robert Quinn and the team's mascot surprised the football team with an equipment donation that included clothing, gloves, cleats, and helmets.
