Joe Flacco's brother trying out for Ravens at tight end

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has always seemed to find chemistry with his tight ends regardless of who they are, but the Ravens may have found his ultimate favourite target.

Flacco's brother Mike is currently at Baltimore's rookie mini-camp trying out at tight end. Mike has mucked around the NFL since being signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers in 2014. He has also had stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets, but has yet to make a final roster.

While the 29-year-old is currently trying to crack the Ravens' squad, his quarterback brother is elsewhere, but Mike still gets the chance to see him around.

"I’ve been walking around seeing a lot of pictures of Joe," Mike told the team's website. "He’s been here for what, going on nine years now, and I’ve only been in this building a couple times. It’s cool to be here as a player, get a chance to come down here and try my best and see where it leads."

The lesser-known Flacco spent 2009 to 2013 bouncing around the minor-league system of the Baltimore Orioles before giving football a go. Mike played one season of football at the University of New Haven, racking up 30 catches for 591 yards and nine touchdowns.

While he still has a lot of work to do, the 6-foot-5, 251-pound tight end hopes to one day catch passes from his brother.

"That would be a dream if I could make it that long (to catch passes from Joe)," Mike said. "Day by day, I try to give it all I’ve got."
