Colts' Andrew Luck: Working on extension

Colts owner Jim Irsay hopes to sign Luck to an extension before the start of training camp, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Even in the wake of a season marred by injuries and mediocre play, Luck has a rock-solid case to become one of the highest-paid players in league history. He recently declared himself healthy upon arriving at voluntary offseason workouts, and there haven't been any real signs of discord between the star quarterback and his employer. Luck will probably sign a mega-deal before the final season of his rookie contract begins, but either way, he'll be one of the top options at quarterback in 2016 drafts.
