Texans' DeAndre Hopkins: Fewer double teams ahead

Hopkins could see less double-team coverage as rookie receivers Will Fuller and Braxton Miller develop over the course of the upcoming season, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Hopkins was routinely bracketed by multiple defenders last season, when the Texans lacked playmakers opposite him in their passing game. While Hopkins still ripped off a whopping 111 catches for 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns, the draft additions of Fuller and Miller could allow him more freedom this season. Fuller ran the fastest 40-yard dash among receivers at the combine and Miller wasn't far behind him, so after they learn the nuances of Houston's offense, head coach Bill O'Brien hopes opposing defenses will key less on rolling coverage toward Hopkins.
