Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has a message for his team's incoming class of rookies: Welcome, but don't touch Beast Mode's number.

Marshawn Lynch retired this offseason, and Baldwin believes the team should leave his No. 24 vacant for the foreseeable future, tweeting his head coach Pete Carroll this message Saturday:

The 30-year-old is arguably one of the greatest players in franchise history, and is certainly one of their most loved stars in recent memory. His number is synonymous with his unique and devastating running style, and it would likely be a detriment to any rookie who takes the number, especially a running back.

General manager John Schneider confirmed Saturday that Lynch has yet to make his retirement official by filing his papers.
