Johnson will enter training camp with increased competition for a top-three receiver role with the Vikings taking Laquon Treadwell in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Analysis:

With Stefon Diggs likely to enter training camp as the No. 1 receiver and Jarius Wright expected to retain the slot receive role, Johnson may continue to be relegated in the offense if Treadwell wins the No. 2 receiver role. Johnson emerged in the second half of the 2014 campaign, accruing 25 receptions on 46 targets for 415 yards and two touchdowns across the final seven games, but struggled last season with injuries, was phased out of the offense, and went without a catch after Week 9. The drafting of Treadwell will likely push Johnson towards a minimal role again in 2016.
