The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that the team has sent cornerback Jamar Taylor to the Cleveland Browns in a draft-day trade.

Miami receives the No. 223 and No. 250-overall selections in this year`s draft in exchange for Taylor.

A second-round pick of the Dolphins in 2013, Taylor started in just nine games over his first three NFL seasons.

For the Browns, a minor swap of seventh-round picks presents some value in taking a chance on the once-promising talent. Making the most of his fresh start could give Taylor a chance to compete for a starting role opposite Joe Haden.
