The San Diego Chargers selected punter Drew Kaser out of Texas A&M in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 179th overall.

With longtime punter Mike Scifres turning 36 in October, the Chargers are evidently looking to address the future of their special teams units.

Kaser becomes the first punter selected after three-plus seasons at Texas A&M in which he averaged an impressive 46.2 yards per kick.
