As the minutes tick down to the start of the NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns' pick at No. 8 overall could be emerging as the next hot spot in trade talks.

The Browns have had discussions with several teams selecting behind them in the draft that are interested in trading up, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Those teams are reportedly targeting Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Elliott's eventual destination has flummoxed mock drafters, but many project him to be selected by the New York Giants at No. 10, Chicago Bears at No. 11, or Miami Dolphins at No. 13.

It makes sense that a team would want to leapfrog that trio in order to secure Elliott's services.

The Browns have plenty of holes to fill and have already stockpiled draft picks by moving down from No. 2 to No. 8 in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. Another small move down in exchange for even more picks could be attractive to Hue Jackson and Co.
