Analysis:

Wake also took part in a sack drill that required hand and hip movement. He presumably isn't ready to make hard cuts, but it does seem he's on/ahead of schedule in his recovery from the torn Achilles he suffered in late October. The 34-year-old defensive end is believed to be seeking an extension as he enters the final year of his contract, and the Dolphins presumably hope to reduce his $9.8 million cap hit for 2016. If not for the major injury, it would actually be a very reasonable price tag for a player that had seven sacks and four forced fumbles in seven games last season.
