Most members of the Washington Redskins organization and fan base were ecstatic when they learned of the addition of All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman.

Fellow cornerback Bashaud Breeland was not.

"If I can be honest, I took it as a sign of disrespect," Breeland told SiriusXM NFL Radio, about his first reaction to Norman's signing.

Breeland, a 2014 fourth-round pick, made 81 tackles, 16 pass deflections, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles through 15 games in 2015, and was the 17th-ranked cornerback in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.

The 24-year-old eventually clarified his comments saying the disrespect was just his first reaction, and he can now appreciate the "chess piece" that his team has acquired. He also commented that he appreciates the cross-league pay raise Norman has provided for the free-agent cornerback market.

The duo of Norman and Breeland will most likely be the starting cornerbacks in Washington come September, with DeAngelo Hall moving to safety.
