Gronkowski says he isn't thinking about contract

Rob Gronkowski raised some eyebrows in March when he tweeted about the New England Patriots picking up his $6-million option, noting that the move "basically equals (a) pay cut."

The tight end offered some clarification in a recent interview with Alysha Tsuji of For The Win, insisting he isn't thinking about his contract situation.

"No, that's not on my mind at all," Gronkowski said. "I started offseason workouts yesterday. It just feels great to be back with the team working out, getting back in football shape and getting prepared for the season."

Gronkowski was also asked about what he's most looking forward to this season.

"Just playing football again. Whenever you're away from it for a little bit, it feels good, but after a little bit, I miss it so much," he said. "And you can't wait to be back on the field playing games again."
