Tom Brady's mom believes he's just as fast as Cam Newton, Russell Wilson

Mothers love to brag about their kids, and Tom Brady's mom is no different.

While speaking at an event for the Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation in New York, the New England Patriots quarterback discussed how confident his mom is in his abilities.

"My mom was always the one that would say, 'You can do it! You can do it, sweetheart.' She stills says that," Brady told the crowd. "I'll say 'Mom, I'm not like guys like Cam Newton and Russell Wilson, they make all these great plays with their feet, and (she'll say), 'Well, you're just as fast as they are!'

"I'll say, 'Mom, I don't know what you're watching.'"

Brady, of course, isn't known for having blazing speed, which goes to show what a staunch supporter his mom is.
