After visiting the New York Jets on Tuesday and Wednesday, free-agent quarterback Brian Hoyer is on his way to Denver to meet with the Broncos, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Despite allowing Hoyer to leave New York without a deal, sources told ESPN's Adam Caplan and NJ.com's Dom Cosentino that the Jets remain interested and knew of his upcoming visit with the Broncos.

The Jets' level of interest in Hoyer likely hinges on contract talks with Ryan Fitzpatrick, which are reportedly at a standstill.

The Broncos traded for Mark Sanchez earlier this offseason and were linked to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
