Griffin split first-team QB reps with Josh McCown at the Browns' voluntary minicamp Tuesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Analysis:

At this stage, the Browns' quarterback situation remains fluid, though some added clarity on that front should arrive no later than the NFL Draft later this month. For now, the Browns hold the No. 2 pick overall and it's assumed that drafting a QB in that slot is an option, as is trading the pick. Moreover, while McCown actually worked ahead of Griffin on Tuesday, the report suggests that he's a candidate to be traded or released down the road, now that Griffin is on hand. With regard to Griffin, coach Hue Jackson noted Tuesday that the team's new QB is "very talented...obviously (Griffin) did some good things, but he has a lot of things just like a lot of our players do to clean up. It was one practice, but it was a good start."
