Report: Brian Hoyer expected to be signed soon; 5-6 teams interested

After meeting with the New York Jets on Tuesday and Wednesday, free-agent quarterback Brian Hoyer may be nearing a decision on his next employer.

Hoyer is expected to have a new team "quickly," according to ESPN's Adam Caplan, who adds that there are four or five other teams interested in his services.

Caplan didn't indicate who those other teams are, but one source told Charean Williams of the Star-Telegram that the Dallas Cowboys could have interest in Hoyer "at the right price."

The 30-year-old appeared in 11 games with the Houston Texans last season, completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 2,606 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
