Baylor's Art Briles: RG3 will 'be different this time around'

Baylor coach Art Briles believes former pupil Robert Griffin III could experience a career renaissance in Cleveland.

In an interview with Laken Litman of For The Win, Briles said Griffin will be a much different quarterback with the Browns than he was during his four years with the Washington Redskins.

"I think he'll be different this time around," Briles said. "The first time, he was really good. Eight months removed from being here, he's NFL Rookie of the Year and leads (the Washington Redskins) to a NFC (East title). So he was really pretty dynamic coming out of the gate. And I think through the process of the last four years, I think his mentality toward the game and understanding of the game - the NFL game, which is different than the college game - I think his mentality from that standpoint is much different.

"You go in there with your shoes shining. They're gonna like you because there haven't been many shiny shoes in there for awhile. I think it's a good place to go, make a mark and say, 'Hey, I'm gonna go help get this thing going.' To me, it's a real challenging, opportunistic avenue for him."

Griffin isn't a lock to start for the Browns, but Briles said he's "jacked" about the opportunity nonetheless.

"I think it's great to start fresh and leave a mark, lead the charge, which he's done all his life," he said. "That's something he's innately gifted at. He believes in positive outcomes."
