Vikings pick up LB Stephen Weatherly in 7th round

The Minnesota Vikings have selected outside linebacker Stephen Weatherly out of Vanderbilt in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft, .

Weatherly adds some pass-rush depth to Minnesota's defensive front. He projects as an end in Mike Zimmer's 4-3 defense, potentially bringing some rotational value in nickel packages.
