Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller will not participate in the team's offseason program because he's still without a contract, sources close to Miller told Mike Klis of 9NEWS.

The Broncos placed the franchise tag on Miller, but he hasn't signed the tender, which would pay him $14.1 million for the upcoming season.

Denver is trying to reach a deal that would pay Miller approximately $18 million a year, reports Klis. The Broncos need to reach a long-term extension with Miller by July 15, or else the reigning Super Bowl MVP will play the 2016 season under the terms of the franchise tag.

Miller is currently a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" and is one of the show's breakout stars through four episodes.
