Jameis Winston down to 230 lbs after working with MJ's ex-trainer

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been spending a lot of time at the gym this offseason.

Winston was inspired to get in better shape after seeing the physical conditioning of Pro Bowlers like Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Once he got back from Hawaii, Winston hired Michael Jordan's former trainer, Tim Grover, and has been working with him once a month as well as meeting with Buccaneers strength coach Dave Kennedy. He's also spending a lot of time with wide receiver Mike Evans on and off the field in an effort to improve their chemistry.

"Everywhere I'm at, he's trying to find me, see what I'm doing," Evans said. "He wants to hang out, he wants to go throw all the time, so he's doing the right things and he's a workaholic."

Winston is now down to 230 pounds - or, as he puts it, "230 - slim."

"I do believe I get better every single day and I look good," he said.
