49ers add OT Fahn Cooper

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The San Francisco 49ers have selected offensive tackle Fahn Cooper out of Ole Miss in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

It's the 49ers' third offensive lineman taken in this year's draft, following the selections of guard Joshua Garnett and offensive tackle John Theus in the first and fifth rounds, respectively. Cooper is a solid pass protector and could be used as the team's swing tackle during his rookie campaign.

  • Able to pull off his initial block and engage with linebackers at the second level, giving his running backs options. (CBS Sports)

Weaknesses
