The Indianapolis Colts have selected offensive tackle Joe Haeg out of North Dakota State in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Haeg was best known in the predraft process for being the player from North Dakota State not named Carson Wentz. He enjoyed a long, successful college career playing both offensive tackle positions and could move to guard if asked.

Haeg is the third offensive lineman selected by the Colts in this draft after they took center Ryan Kelly in the first round and athletic tackle Le'Raven Clark in the third round. Indianapolis has been trying to improve their overall offensive line performance to give franchise quarterback Andrew Luck more time and keep him healthy.
