Patriots improve quarterback depth with Jacoby Brissett
Bob DeChiara / USA TODAY Sports
The New England Patriots selected quarterback Jacoby Brissett out of NC State at No. 91 overall in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft on Friday.
Brissett is strong in the pocket and possesses the ideal frame for a NFL quarterback.
He's able to extend plays with his leg, and differs from the usual type of quarterback the Patriots gravitate toward. Brissett will back up Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo.
