The Oakland Raiders have agreed to terms with safety Reggie Nelson, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Nelson signed a two-year contract, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Nelson was named a second-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler for the first time in his career, coming off a career-best season with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 32-year-old was the NFL's co-leader in interceptions, tied with Kansas City's Marcus Peters.

Nelson becomes the latest player in an excellent free agency haul for the Raiders, joining guard Kelechi Osemele, cornerback Sean Smith, and outside linebacker Bruce Irvin as part of an incoming class.

Although replacing a player of Charles Woodson's magnitude is nearly impossible, Nelson will fill the future Hall of Famer's spot in the starting lineup after he retired at the end of the 2015 campaign.

The Raiders' defense is shaping up to be one of the most improved and ferocious units in the NFL, and Nelson solidifies a young, talented secondary in the team's quest to ascend atop the AFC West.
