"I have to pass a medical exam on Monday," he said via the social network. "No fracture. Hope to be back asap!"

Arsenal's Debuchy leaves game with apparent ankle injury

Sept 13, 9:48 AM

Injuries continue to plague Arsenal during the early stages of the season as right-back Mathieu Debuchy was forced to leave Saturday's game against Manchester City when he appeared to injure his left ankle near the end of the match.

Debuchy collapsed to the pitch with just over 10 minutes left in the game after landing awkwardly on the ankle while he was pursuing the ball. The severity of the injury caused him to writhe in pain until trainers came to assess the injury.

After a few minutes of treatment, he was stretchered off the pitch and replaced by Calum Chambers.

It could be a massive blow for Arsenal if he's sidelined for an extended period of time since their options at right-back are limited after signing Debuchy during the summer as a replacement for the departed Bacary Sagna.
