Bills place Fred Jackson on IR

The Buffalo Bills have placed running back Fred Jackson on the injured reserve, ending his season. Jackson is nursing an MCL injury on top of an LCL sprain which saw him miss three games earlier in the season. Jackson was overtaken in the Bills backfield this season by C.J. Spiller after Jackson saw his YPC average drop from 5.5 to 3.8 before injuries forced him out of the lineup. This will be the second straight season that Jackson has finished on the IR.

In the 10 games Jackson did play, he racked up 437 yards on 115 carries and 3 touchdowns.
