Redskins' CB Cedric Griffin suspended 4 games
Cornerback Cedric Griffin of the Washington Redskins has been suspended 4 games for violating the league`s policy on performance enhancing drugs.
Griffin has 33 tackles and one forced fumble as the nickelback for the 6-6 Redskins. His suspension will last until the end of the regular season. He will be eligible to return to the roster if Washington qualify for the playoffs.
Griffin signed a one-year deal with a $1.25 million salary with the Redskins in March after six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. The 30-year-old defensive back has been a regular in nickel packages for Washington. He also missed three games with a hamstring injury.
