Owens released by Seahawks

According to Terrell Owens himself, he is no longer a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

The 38-year-old had not played since 2010, in what was his last season with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Seahawks gave Owens a one-year deal before the first week of preseason games, for a chance to fill a starting roster position.

Owens appeared in two preseason games for the Seahawks, recording just two receptions for 41 yards.

This could mark the end of Owens 16-year career, in which he appeared in 219 games, totaling 15,934 yards on 1078 receptions, with 153 recorded touchdowns.
