Montario Hardesty News

"Hardesty's roster spot isn't safe," in the opinion of Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Terry Pluto.

Analysis: It was assumed the former second-round pick would serve as the backup to Trent Richardson, and that still might end up being the case, but according to Pluto, the Browns have been very impressed with Brandon Jackson and they also like Chris Ogbonnaya whom they signed off waivers last season. Hardesty has talent but has struggled to stay on the field his first two years, and his contract for 2012 isn't guaranteed. This is just the opinion of one Cleveland writer, but there seem to be a lot of bodies at the position, so his status in Cleveland may be flimsy and is worth monitoring, especially for handcuffing purposes concerning Richardson.
