Donald Driver agrees to restructured contract

Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - Donald Driver has apparently agreed to a restructured contract with the Green Bay Packers.

Driver, the team's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, posted the news on his Twitter feed.

"Tweeps: when I said I will be a Packer for life. It is now true. Packer for life," Driver wrote.

Driver was under contract through 2012, but could have been released if he was unwilling to alter his deal to return for a 14th season. He was at Packers practice on Wednesday for organized team activities.

WTMJ-TV in Green Bay cited Driver's agent, Jordan Woy, as saying the two sides have agreed to terms and will soon finalize the details.

Last year the 37-year-old veteran caught just 37 passes for 445 yards, his lowest totals since 2001. He has been with the Packers since the team selected him in the seventh round of the 1999 draft and has 735 career receptions for 10,060 yards with 59 touchdowns.

Driver was also recently crowned champion on the latest season of the television program "Dancing with the Stars."
