Seahawks deep in talks with Marshawn Lynch
The Seattle Seahawks are deep in talks on a long-term deal with running back Marshawn Lynch, according to NFL.com.
Lynch has led the Seahawks in rush yards in each of the two seasons he has been with the team. In 2011 Lynch's 12 touchdowns ranked third in the league among running backs and his 1,204 yards ranked seventh.
While the two sides are working to complete the deal before the March 5 deadline, if things fall apart the Seahawks are prepared to use their franchise tag on the 25-year-old.
