The MLS Disciplinary Committee announced Thursday that it has suspended Vancouver Whitecaps forward Masato Kudo one game for simulation during the 22nd minute of a 1-0 victory over Houston on Saturday.

Quite the impression by the 25-year-old Tokyo-born attacker, who has been reprimanded for diving in just his third appearance for Vancouver since joining from Japanese side Kashiwa.

Kudo was awarded a penalty for the incident that Pedro Morales scored, though in retrospect, the league offices have adjudged it to be a case of embellishment.

He will miss the Whitecaps' match versus LA Galaxy on Saturday.

Joining Kudo among those reprimanded for simulation by the league's Disciplinary Committee is FC Dallas's Ryan Hollingshead, who was fined an undisclosed amount for an incident during a 3-0 defeat of D.C. United.

D.C.'s Marcelo Sarvas was also fined an undisclosed amount for failing to leave the pitch in an orderly manner after he was brandished a straight red card during the same match. Sarvas will also serve a compulsory one-match ban for the sending-off.
