West Ham has secured the services of Manuel Lanzini on a permanent basis, as the Argentine midfielder put pen to paper on a four-year deal to officially sever ties with United Arab Emirates outfit Al Jazira.

The deal, which comes with an option for an additional two years, will come into effect July 1, the club announced.

Terms of the deal with Al Jazira were not disclosed.

Lanzini has impressed with the Hammers since joining the Premier League side during the summer, and revealed his excitement to continue his football journey in England.

"I am absolutely delighted to have signed and to be able to stay at this club," Lanzini said during an interview with West Ham TV. "I really feel at home here, and when you feel at home somewhere, you definitely don't want to leave.

"I am very happy and now what I want to do is to keep giving the best of myself."

The 23-year-old began his career in the River Plate youth system and went on to spend one season with the UAE side before making the switch.

Lanzini has managed to find the back of the net five times, including the opening goal in West Ham's last match against Chelsea, during 18 appearances.
