Diego Brandao on temporary suspension after failed drug test

UFC featherweight Diego Brandao was issued a temporary suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Wednesday, according to Shaun Al-Shatti of MMA Fighting.
A positive test for marijuana metabolites was initially reported shortly after Brandao suffered a submission loss to Brian Ortega at UFC 195 in January. At Wednesday's provisional hearing, Brandao was not in attendance, and he's expected to receive a full hearing in the future.
The drug-test failure came from an in-competition test taken before the Ortega fight. That loss dropped his overall record to 5-4 in the UFC since winning season 14 of "The Ultimate Fighter."
This is Brandao's first offense.
