Seahawks add RB Alex Collins to intriguing young backfield
Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports
The Seattle Seahawks have selected running back Alex Collins out of Arkansas in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Collins joins fellow rookie running back C.J. Prosise, whom the Seahawks drafted in the third round, as part of an intriguing young backfield that already includes Thomas Rawls.
Rawls is the presumed starter this season, but he's coming off a major leg injury and it's possible the Seahawks aren't certain he will be fully healthy by the regular season.
Former Seahawks starter Marshawn Lynch announced his retirement earlier this offseason.
