Barcelona star Neymar has been found guilty of tax fraud and ordered to pay €45 million in fines and back taxes, Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo reported Friday, according to ESPNFC.

The judges who examined the case allege Neymar used three of his businesses to create false contracts as a way to avoid paying €56.4 million in taxes between 2012 and 2014.

Neymar is said to have failed to report earnings from his contracts with Nike, Santos (his former club in Brazil), and Barcelona.

"We studied the information regarding the tax case in question, Neymar, the three businesses, and his business partners (parents of the player), and we found that there were fraudulent business practices," auditor Develly Claudia Montez said.
