Tulsa's NCAA bid shocks its own starting point guard
David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports
Tulsa was arguably the most surprising inclusion in the NCAA tournament - so much so that point guard Shaquille Harrison didn't even expect the bid.
Following the Golden Hurricane's loss to Memphis on Friday in the AAC tournament quarterfinals, Harrison answered a question on Twitter about the team's NCAA hopes, saying they were "out."
Despite the loss to the Tigers - which was actually only by 22 points - and a 20-11 record, Tulsa heard its name called on Selection Sunday. The Golden Hurricane will square off with Michigan in one of the four play-in games, with the winner claiming the No. 11 seed in the East.
