Aaron Rodgers says knee 'feels great' after arthroscopic surgery

USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is recovering well following arthroscopic knee surgery.

Rodgers, who spent the past week competing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am as a celebrity participant, said he had a "scope" done on his left knee a little under a month ago to clean up an old injury. He was able to make it through a full 18 holes of golf during Thursday's first round, an encouraging sign.

"It was just good to be out there walking normally," Rodgers said, according to Garrett Johnston of USA TODAY Sports. "It feels great. It's nice to not have any clunking around or anything, so it was good."

Rodgers underwent reconstructive surgery on the same knee while at the University of California, but hasn't missed any playing time in his career due to knee injuries.

The 32-year-old also shared his thoughts on Super Bowl 50, calling it a "good game" and praising the Denver Broncos' defense.

"I thought both defenses played pretty well, but Denver's defense scored," he said.
