New York Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley won't face charges regarding sexual assault allegations made against him last month, according to his attorney.

Bromley's lawyer, Alex Spiro, announced Friday that his client "has been officially cleared of all wrongdoing" in the case, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.

The 23-year-old had reportedly been accused of attempting to rape a woman and hitting her with his vehicle during a date between the two at a Midtown Manhattan hotel.

Reports surfaced days later indicating Bromley was unlikely to be charged with attempted rape. Police reportedly believed the woman demanded to be paid following a consensual sex act, which Bromley refused.

Surveillance video also reportedly showed the woman jumping on the hood of his car as he drove away, dispelling the claim that he'd hit her.

Bromley is coming off his second season with the Giants after joining the club as a third-round pick in the 2014 draft.
