Entering West Bromwich Albion's FA Cup replay at Peterborough United on Wednesday, Darren Fletcher hadn't scored in the competition since the 2007-08 edition of the tournament, when he tallied a brace in Manchester United's 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal.
Fletcher was clearly overdue for a goal.
The 70th minute of the fixture saw the Scottish midfielder draw West Brom level with a world-class half-volley that left 'keeper Ben Alnwick completely flat-footed and forced extra time at London Road.
