Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young was recently arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ Sports.

Young was charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury for his role in a Jan. 30 street fight in Los Angeles, per documents obtained by TMZ Sports.

The 26-year-old could face up to four years in prison if convicted, with an additional five years tacked on due to prior arrests.

Young was selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Boise State by the Lions. Although he possessed NFL-level talent, his career was marred by numerous off-field indiscretions.

In 2012, Young caught 33 passes for 383 yards and four touchdowns, but was placed on injured reserve in December of that year.

The Lions released Young at the end of the 2012 season and he was promptly signed by the St. Louis Rams. However, Young was released later that month primarily due to behavioral concerns.
