One man is dead and two injured after gunfire broke out at Dublin's Regency Hotel at approximately 2:30 p.m. local time Friday.

Three men said to be in their 20s or 30s burst through the door dressed as police officials and fired on dozens of bystanders who were in attendance for weigh-ins ahead of Saturday's WBO European lightweight title fight, according to BBC.com.

Eye witnesses say the men appeared to be wielding AK-47s. The injured men were taken to hospital, but, according to the Independent, their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The gunmen's faces were completely covered, though one witness said they spoke with "strong Dublin accents." They were seen escaping the scene in a van, which was later found burnt out in a nearby estate.

The "Clash of the Clans" event features Jamie Kavanagh and Antonio Joao Bento, who will fight for the vacant belt.
