It's business as usual for Pep Guardiola as his time with Bayern Munich edges closer to a conclusion before setting off for England to join Manchester City.

The Spanish gaffer was adamant during his prematch meeting with reporters Friday that his upcoming role with the Premier League team will not be a distraction during his final months at the Allianz Arena as he aims to end the season with multiple pieces of silverware.

While he was unwilling to give in to questions about his new team, Guardiola outlined reasons why his move won't interrupt his plans with Bayern.

"I have already told you why I am going to England," he said during his first meeting with reporters since being confirmed as Manuel Pellegrini's replacement. "You've got to trust me. I can't come here every day and talk about it.

"I am like a woman, I can multitask! I can control both situations. I can think about both situations. It's not a problem. I have a big talent for this."

Bayern, who go up against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, is currently the odds-on favourites to capture a fourth straight Bundesliga title, and could potentially add a Champions League title and DFB-Pokal crown to its trophy case by season's end.
