Coach K to return from illness Saturday vs. NC State

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Mike Krzyzewski missed his first game in over 20 years Tuesday against Georgia Tech, but the legendary Duke coach has been cleared to return to the sidelines Saturday versus NC State.

The 68-year-old, feeling under the weather, stayed back from the Blue Devils' trip to Atlanta, but plans to return to practice Thursday.

Krzyzewski attended practice Monday, but began to feel ill when the team arrived at the airport for its flight. The Chicago native underwent various tests but everything checked out fine, a source told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Jeff Capel filled in for Coach K and helped guide Duke to a 80-71 victory over the Yellow Jackets. The Blue Devils had lost four of their last five games going into Tuesday's affair.
