When it comes to college basketball, there aren't many programs that can compare to Kansas in regards to history, success, and tradition.

Dr. James Naismith, the creator of the game of basketball, was the school's first head coach. The names that have played or coached in Lawrence, Kan., are a who's who within the game.

On Saturday, against Kentucky, Naismith's original rules of basketball made their way back home to Allen Fieldhouse.

Alumnus, David Booth purchased the rules back in 2010 for $3.8 million, a world record for sports memorabilia at the time, and made the official donation to Kansas officials during halftime.

The university is in the process of building an $18-million facility adjacent to Allen Fieldhouse to house the rules.
