Broncos' Kubiak: Manning 'hasn't said anything to me' about retirement

Peyton Manning was caught on tape telling New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick "this might be my last rodeo" after the AFC Championship Game.

If Manning plans to retire after the Super Bowl, it's news to his Denver Broncos head coach.

"He hasn't said anything to me," Gary Kubiak told reporters Thursday.

It would be a little surprising if Manning truly hasn't communicated his future plans to his coaches. Perhaps he has and Kubiak is doing his best to downplay the "Manning swan song" narrative.

Even if Manning has kept Kubiak entirely in the dark, it shouldn't change the Broncos' Super Bowl preparation. The best way to attack the game is for all players to play as if it could be their last in the NFL. You never know when or if you'll be back.
