Cary Edmondson / USA TODAY Sports

Fresno State quarterback Zack Greenlee has been granted his release and will transfer out of the program.

"I am very thankful for the dedication that Zack brought to our program," head coach Tim DeRuyter said in a press release. "He was a good teammate and a good player to coach. He now wishes to pursue other avenues with his education and football career and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward."

Greenlee started five games for the Bulldogs last season. He missed time while serving a suspension for an off-field incident.

Greenlee tossed for 866 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while completing 74-of-156 pass attempts in his sophomore campaign.
