Newcastle United winger Moussa Sissoko has denied claims that he's looking to leave St. James' Park during the January transfer window.

Sissoko, 26, has started all 22 of Newcastle's matches this year under manager Steve McClaren, as the Magpies have experienced a frustrating campaign. Newcastle currently sits 18th, two points shy of Norwich City and Premier League safety.

"I do not think I will leave Newcastle. The club will not let me go. And then the question arises at a moment a few months before the Euro 2016," Sissoko offered while appearing on French television program "Telefoot" on Sunday.

The 33-year-old French international, who joined the Tynesiders in 2013 from Toulouse, has attracted interest from Liverpool, Tottenham, and Napoli with his consistent play, according to L'Equipe.

Along with summer signing Georginio Wijnaldum, Sissoko has been one of Newcastle's standout players this season, and despite the club's poor top-flight standing, the winger appears to value the benefits of consistent first-team playing time.

"While the results are not terrible, I have the chance to play every weekend and make good progress," he said.
